Description

The CO2 Checker for Wio Terminal is a cost-effective CO2 environmental measurement device that can be connected to the Internet and Cloud. It will be easy to detect temperature, humidity, and CO2 concentration and display the measurement on the screen.CO2 Checker can also displays the WBGT (wet bulb globe temperature). The data can be analyzed and enabled with notifications by sending values to Azure IoT. 

The device is built with The Grove – CO2 & Temperature & Humidity Sensor (SCD30) and Wio Terminal. 

The Grove – CO2 & Temperature & Humidity Sensor (SCD30) is a high-precision carbon dioxide sensor, which is based on Sensirion SCD30. The measuring range of this sensor is 0 ppm-40’000 ppm, and the measurement accuracy can reach to ±(30 ppm + 3%) between 400ppm to 10’000ppm.

Wio Terminal is an ATSAMD51-based microcontroller with wireless connectivity powered by Realtek RTL8720DN. Currently, wireless connectivity is only supported by Arduino. Its CPU speed runs at 120MHz (Boost up to 200MHz). Realtek RTL8720DN chip supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi providing the backbone for IoT projects. The Wio Terminal itself is equipped with a 2.4” LCD Screen, onboard IMU(LIS3DHTR), microphone, buzzer, microSD card slot, light sensor, and infrared emitter(IR 940nm).
